Did not our hearts burn within us?

Have you ever been in a movie, reading a book or portion of scripture or listening to some one and had that burning in your heart? A year ago on Easter Sunday we were visiting Aimee and Eric and the girls in Nashville. Dan Mohler was speaking at a local AG church and we all went there for the Easter morning service. I had not met or heard Dan prior to this weekend and interesting enough my heart was burning so much during his word that I had to respond some how. It was all over my head but I new something fresh and amazing was happening in my spirit. The alter call was made and me and then Mary were the first ones on our feet...."yes, I want this" So embarrassing but so cool.
A year later the adventure continues. The latest catalyst has been a brother named Wayne Jacobson as you can tell from my blog. Again my heart has been burning with the fresh revelation of our father and the awesome community we have been invited into.
Friends, not slaves to fear. Relationship versus religion!
Listen at your own peril. It will mess you up in such a good way. You hopefully will never recover.
Some day if you get brave enough and dive in real deep and get messed up like me...call me and lets talk. I just need some one to share the pearls with. The truth will set you free!

She loves me!

I have no fear that Mary will steal from me or cheat on me ever.
She loves me!
I trust her because I have 38 years of history experiencing her love.
It would be foolish for any one of you to suggest otherwise.
I don't have to muster trust. It just is what it is.

Trust is the fruit of a growing love relationship.
You either do or you don't.
You cannot choose to trust God.
Trust is the natural response of love!
The more I know He loves me the more I can trust Him.
It is not a choice. It is a reality based on lived experience with Him.
It is a conviction born out of Love.
Where I don't trust Him this is my prayer
"Father would you show me how much you love me.
Would you teach me today to live in your love."

Show me

Father would you show me how much you love me today....and would you teach me how to live in your love.

Not religion but relationship (by WJ)

Religion offers the illusion of earned acceptance...a cheap substitute for the reality of life in Him.
God's desire is to engage us in a life-changing relationship.
He knew that "life change" would only come out of relationship.

Fully loved (by WJ)

If Adam's and Eve's troubles began when they lost sight of how deeply God loved them, then it stands to reason that my life will change to the extent that I know the deep love of God for me...
And this choice is made every day in every circumstance!

Our Heritage! (by WJ)

The heritage of the cross is a life lived in TRUST!
And what is really cool???

*I now live off the faith of Jesus!

We now have the privilege of living off Jesus faith, not by having to muster up our own.
Gal. 2:20 - I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live but Christ lives within me and the life that I now live, I live by the faith OF the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me.
In other words this is now my fullest potential, His life in me.
My life ended. Now Jesus lives in me.
He not only modeled for us how we can live in trust.
He lives in me,
in the storm,
in the doubts,
in the loneliness,
in the questions.
His presence and His purpose is sufficient beyond my right to understand.
His faith endures!

Trust ... In the Dark

NOTE- Every thing we do as a result of not trusting His love for us, His good intentions towards us, draws us into ever-deepening bondage. True... whether expressed as self indulgence or religion, (indulging our selfish desires or trying to appease Him).

For the power of the cross to significantly change our lives it has to restore the TRUST level shattered in Eden and beyond.
When the reality of the cross sinks home, the enemies wedge of distrust is dislodged.

Look briefly at the end of the horror of the cross.
Sin had been consumed and His body spent! In His dying breath "into your hands I commit my spirit" He affirmed a heart of trust beyond comprehension. Even deaths barrier had now been crossed in a sense of absolute surrender and TRUST.

* The heritage of the cross is our heritage!!!

* It frees us from the bondage to sin that makes feel so estranged from His love and drives us to try and compensate.
* It also provides for us the certainty that we are loved.
* And what's more? His trust in the Father is now my truest potential! My heritage!!!
